According to the local weather forecast here in Sin City the humidity is high today. Apparently the moisture has soared to a whopping 18% which is tantamount to tropical here. Oh - how tough it must be, with the high at 95 and the sun shining on the Strip. In the six hours we have been here we have spent less than 15 seconds outside which is about right for July in Nevada. Meanwhile down in Louisiana they had four inches of rain today which the weatherman gleefully pointed out was about what Vegas gets in a year!
As usual Vegas is full of diversity (I think that's the polite term) - tuxedo's and Speedo's vie for some slot action while the plastic surgeons of the world must be delighted at the expansive displays of their handiwork. For me it's a rare treat as my darling wife is accompanying me on this trip as the kids have been safely sold into temporary slavery back home. Tonight is a posh and probably too expensive dinner and tomorrow we take in a Cirque Show. Disturbing the excess will be a speech to a couple of hundred accountants. I do this about three times a year in Vegas and always wonder about the ethics of the hundreds of stewards of shareholder funds being let loose across multiple casinos. I just hope the auditors aren't in town as well or the current stock market swoon will become a collapse as everyone "doubles down" in the hope of making the quarter
